At the end of the day, we’re all human, and life would be easier if people remember that more often. Employees are much more likely to be engaged in a workplace that makes them feel safe and seen.
With so many things going on all over the world, it can be hard to keep up. You can’t always be around for everything though, so it’s helpful to put some measures into place to make sure you create a safe space for your employees:
- Create a forum for employees to submit anonymous comments and concerns.
- Show support for the movements that affect your employees, even if it’s just in a conversation.
- Hold regular meetings where employees can come to discuss common concerns and experiences.
As a manager or owner, you want to be sure your employees are coming to work and feel comfortable carrying out their duties.
