Certain levels of stress can be healthy and move things in the direction they need to go. Other times, extreme levels of stress can be detrimental to your health and well-being.
We live in a very fast-moving world, and if you work in the service industry, it might feel like you’re never going to be fully caught up. If you want to set yourself up for success, it’s important to learn helpful stress-management skills.
To protect your well-being, consider the following anytime you’re feeling overwhelmed:
- Focus on the task at hand—conserve your energy for what can be done now and try not to worry about what is out of your control, or future problems you have yet to deal with.
- Self-awareness is key—the most effective way to improve your coping habits is to be transparent and honest with yourself. Evaluate your productivity and try to identify things that could be using up too much of your valuable time.
- Speak with a coach or participate in a leadership development program
Registration is now open for the PowerLEAD Development Training Program. This program supports leaders to increase leadership effectiveness and success in their role.
